Hello!
Welcome to Meanwood Market – The Heart of Our Community
Meanwood Market is a vibrant, monthly event held at the Green Road shopping precinct in the centre of Meanwood, Leeds. Taking place every third Saturday of the month (except January), our market brings together a curated selection of high-quality, Yorkshire based small independent businesses.
Each market features a huge array of different stalls selling everything from fresh local produce and delicious sweet treats, to handmade candles and luxurious soaps, colourful homewares and unique jewellery, original artwork and prints by local makers and much more!
We’re more than just a market, we’re a celebration of community spirit. We proudly support local charities, schools and initiatives at every market.
Whether you're looking for a treat or an essential, a friendly face or a fun day out, Meanwood Market is here to serve and celebrate our amazing community.
Come for the market, stay for the neighbourhood – explore everything from local cafes, such as Wildcraft, Opposite and Humbl. The buzzing independent restaurant and bar scene, with Alfred, Boot & Rally, Terminus Tap Room and Bottle Shop, Meanwood Tavern, Number 8 Cocktails featuring Niko’s Comfort Kitchen, Hanna Matsuri and Zucco all a short walk from the market. The wonderful Tandem is worth a visit for a gorgeous selection of gifts, homewares, vintage items and more.
We’re also fortunate to have beautiful green spaces at our doorstep, such as Meanwood Park and the Meanwood Valley Trail.
We look forward to seeing you at the next market!
The face behind the brand..
I’m Leah, the organiser behind Meanwood Market
I have lived in Meanwood for over 16 years with my family. It’s a place I am very happy to call home. I am passionate about the area and the community we live in.
I was involved in setting up Meanwood Market in 2021 alongside Mina (Wildcraft Bakery) and Janet (Meanwood Valley Partnership) and have since stepped into the role of running the market independently.
Over the years I have worked on various projects, including Meanwood Street Art and Window Wanderland. I have enjoyed bringing colour and joy to the local community and more recently providing a platform for the ever growing and thriving independent, small businesses that Meanwood houses.
If I can support your community driven ideas, projects, events or
otherwise please feel free to reach out!
